Giuseppe Mecca
Graduated in Architecture at the University of Florence (Italy) in 2000 with a thesis in urban planning on the redevelopment of the seafront and public spaces in the north area of Tuscany. Master in planning of the public areas at the University of Engineering in Pisa (Italy) in 2001, with a thesis on the requalification of the riverfront inside the historical center of Lucca (Italy). Postgraduate course in urban design at Seminary of Arch. Luigi Snozzi in Monte Carasso (CH) in 2002. Specialization in environmental, urban and architectonic acoustics at ARPAT in Florence (Italy) in 2003-04.
Collaborations with architectural and engineering firms for projects in Europe and North-Central Africa; new urban planning and urban renewal projects for public and private clients. Design and realization of private and public new residential and commercial city districts; renovation for upgrading energy and acoustic of existing buildings; restoration projects of historical buildings.
Recently moved to Berlin (DE) for projects of redevelopment and restructuration of residential building. Takes part in many international competition in urban planning, architecture and design, collecting good results and prizes. Publications of books and articles in magazines and specialized websites of architecture and urban planning. Selected projects presented in exhibitions of architecture, design and urban planning in Europe, United States and China.
