Residential Home Junglinster
The Red Cross Luxembourg intended to create in the center of Junglinster a new Residential Home for older people consisting of service, care, nursing and residential units for 100 persons.
The winning project of the competition was the concept of the consortium witry & witry architecture urbanisme and Atelier d’architecture et de design Jim Clemes.
Adapted to the topography, the three-storied west and north wings of the building are in a massive construction and contain the administration and utility services. The residential building, comprising two floors, is a massive construction enveloped in a wooden facade with rooms opened to the typical regional orchards.
