The ground floor building was designed to make the accessibility easier in keeping with the specific child program. This only floor fits with the urban scale of individual houses and enhances the preservation of the landscape. To make better those scale transitions, to respect the public buildings around and to honour its own public standing, the kindergarten owns a triangular roof as a "signature symbol". Moreover this stainless steel roof looks like a link between the zinc roof of the municipality party hall and the traditional houses roofs.
A gateway and a square in front of the building are used as a public access from the carpark to the kindergarten. Both of them let enough space and don't change the shape of the stream, interface between the main facade and the public space. As well, those strategic choices preserve the biodiversity of the site.
The outside playgrounds, in powerful color with stretched canvasses to make shadow, are designed in continuity of the sensorial awakening rooms by huge windows in wood. Those glass walls opening on the landscape, let the sun rays come inside and offer a space with natural qualities.
The rooms own big ceiling heights, greater with flying luminaires ; and they are made with sober materials. All those simple things, lets the furniture colors, the toys, and the children's laughs highlighted.
