Casa Nave
This project is located in the heart of Testaccio, in front of the new Market.
This is an historic area of Rome, where the soul of tradition and innovation - guaranteed by new refurbishment works on the Mattatoio, Piazza Testaccio and the Market itself - makes it one of the most beloved and vibrant areas of the capital city.
Architect Emanuela Petrucci's goal has been to trasform the small house into a bright, functional and elegant one.
She has crafted elegant, integrated and spacious furnitures that have been eclecticly mixed with custom vintage ones, ad hoc lamps, and cost-effective solutions.
The designed furniture has always a containment function: the bench in the living room, for example, has 5 meters long shutters but is used also for sitting.
At the entrance of the bedroom the wardrobe is contained by a plasterboard structure and closed by curtains that hide its function.
The kitchen refrigerator is concealed by a designed furniture to hide it from the entrance.
All the brass lights have been realized by design and the original floor replaced with French-style fishbone parquet.
The color palette is clean and rich, the choice of gray and mint for the walls in contrast with the ancient rose of the sofa, velvet and linen for curtains, jungle fantasies for the lining of the bed, gives the house a fresh, elegant and youthful touch.
