Desert Pavilion
The "desert" pavilion is the first result of a brief architectural research. Held in early 2017.
Is a fictional exercise in order to experiment, research and learn.
This research is a self-commission from coincidences that began in this 2017 to captivate my attention.
The search is limited to the north of Chile, characteristic for the desert ecosystem. A landscape mix between mountainous sectors and long sections of esplanades. The colours, the vegetation, the proximity between the high plateau and the coastal border, sectors with beach configuration, and others with coastal farellón. In all the extension of the territory is possible to find a series of constructions, a product of active and inactive industrial processes, abandoned and in ruins and old constructions.
Towns that after a long journey suddenly appear on the road. Sometimes they develop together to an oasis others only attached to the arid lands of the driest desert in the world.
Finally, what is sought through this first investigation is to observe and then after a group of interpretations referring to such constructions or places, to obtain from them spatial conclusions, configurations, relations, constructive techniques, location and a long etcetera of architecture conclusions.
The above gives the possibility of looking at these elements as a potential reference or potential bases to reconfigure and create in the future new spaces so that under one's own essence they can resurface and be useful for the visitor and passenger.
