Public School
This school is a state facility built to provide proper educational services to a peripheral neighbourhood in the city of Bauru, 326km away from São Paulo.
The design was organized around few initial guidelines: the use of pre-cast concrete structure, the use of low-cost materials and the will to create a community center - with strong architectural presence in the rather fragmented urban context.

The program is split in two blocks - the pedagogical/administrative and the cultural/sportive -, taking advantage from the gently sloping terrain. A inner street crosses the plot, providing student access through the lower level and administrative access at the top level. The idea is to integrate the sidewalks with the school circulation system. During weekends, the sports court is open to the community.
