Jeanne d'Arc on Wheels
A bench turns and you can sit facing your friend. Three benches revolve and an assembly is encouraged. A new twist and a couple has been isolated from other people. A new "plaza", Jean d'Arc on wheels.
Jeanne d' Arc Square in Rennes is a typical French square with church included.
Jeanne d' Arc Square is in Rennes but it could be elsewhere, and its static urban furniture too.
From ENORME we propose two solutions concentrated in a single element of urban furniture: a rotating bench.
On the one hand, the square itself becomes a reference of an urban plan that will completely change the morphology of the city in 2030. On the other, the rotating benches transform the public space of the square into a flexible and living place. A bench turns and you can sit facing your friend. Three benches revolve and an assembly is encouraged. A new twist and a couple has been isolated from other people. A new "plaza", Jean d'Arc on wheels.
