House CB
The house CB in Malcantone, dominates from a breathtaking position, over the green and untouched mountain area. The view of the lake embellishes the dwelling even more as the home offers great scenic beauty.
Seen from a distance it stands as a white solid structure on a hill ridge. On the ground floor the living room, with its southern facing windows, is in the form of an open space in order to visually perceive continuity in the various indoor (kitchen, living room, study) and external areas (wooden deck, garden, landscape). The stairs are in a central position, leading to 2 bedrooms, a loggia and a panoramic terrace. On the second floor there is an atelier and a study. The openings are designed to mirror the reflections of natural light which is a source of energy. The lighting system faces south, and it has been limited on east and west. They are primarily designed to ensure alternative glimpses of landscape. Light is the theme of this project: from the inside there is a sense of "space hollowed out" as the light invades quietly, manipulating the internal into a white space.
