The Museum of Antiquity is a new combinatorial program using two Qing Dynasty houses and a theater from Anhui Province, which is in a new 3000 square meter space of Beijing.
The roughly 400-year-old wooden buildings, which were once used by wealthy locals, measure 400 to 700 square meter. They had pitched roofs and were carved with ancient Chinese stories much older than themselves. Mr. Saee tried to restore them in the best possible way and protect them as symbols of their time by placing them inside a series of modern, largely glass cubes.
