GIORGIO MURATORE
ON GIORGIO GRASSI AND DARIO PASSI
QUOTES is a new collection of authors from all times and all countries, examined not in their monumental works, not in their essays of vast scope, but in writings that belong to no less illustrious and far from minor genres: the short article and the interview. The setup of the series is intentionally anachronistic, somewhat in controversy with a mannered pseudo-avant-garde approach we see with increasing frequency as it floats on the surface of the web and on the glossy pages of fashionable magazines; it is a selection of fundamentally anti-modern texts. You can use them as antidotes to the most common ailments of modernity: the transient, the fleeting, the contingent. A palliative care based on the permanent, to be taken in small doses. The translations are new and original. The books in the series are published in limited editions of 200 copies each.
